On the afternoon of March 26, 2013 in Ho Chi Minh City, PVFCCo (stock code: DPM) held a solemn ceremony to celebrate its 10th anniversary of establishment (28/03/2003 – 28/03/2013) on the theme “PVFCCo – 10 years of building and development” and to receive the First Class Labor Medal – a honor awarded by the Party and State to the whole staff.
Atteding the ceremony, from the Party and State’s leadership were Mr. Hoang Trung Hai – Member of the Party Central Committee cum Deputy Prime Minister, Mr. Nguyen Huu Tu – Deputy Chief of the Party Central Committee Office, Mrs. Ha Thi Lien – Vice-chairwoman of the Vietnamese Fatherland Front’s Central Committee, Mrs. Ho Thi Kim Thoa – Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade and delegates from other central ministries and departments. Participating in the ceremony, from the Vietnam Oil and Gas Group were Mr. Phung Dinh Thuc – Member of the Party Standing Committee of the Central Business Sector cum Party Secretary cum Chairman of the Board of Members, Mr. Do Van Hau – Deputy Party Secretary cum General Director and formers leaders of the group; from PVFCCo were Mr. Bui Minh Tien – Party Secretary cum Chairman of the Board of Directors, Mr. Cao Hoai Duong – Member of the PVN’s Party Executive Committee cum Deputy Party Secretary cum General Director and former leaders of PVFCCo.
Since the date of its establishment in accordance with Decision No.02/2003/QĐ-VPCP issued on March 28, 2003 by the Minister cum Chairman of the Government Office so far, PVFCCo has passed through 10 years of working, producing and non-stop development. Today, PVFCCo is the country’s first company in the field of fertilizer and chemicals business and manufacturing, who’s largely contributing to ensure the national food security and saves for Vietnam the fertilizer imports of US$300 million per year. The celebration of PVFCCo’s 10th anniversary is a significant milestone demonstrating the strong growth of the corporation.
In his speech at the ceremony, Mr. Bui Minh Tien made a review on 10 years of PVFCCo’s establishment and development; he also sent his sincere thanks to leaders of the Party, State, Ministry of Industry and Trade, PVN for taking profound interests in PVFCCo’s development as well as expressed his gratitude towards the generations of leaders and staff who contributed to today’s success of PVFCCo.
Coming to the ceremony on behalf of the Party and State, Deputy Prime Minister Hoang Trung Hai expressed his joy seeing the boom of Phu My Fertilizer Plant and PVFCCo’s, as well as his high appreciation on PVFCCo’s outstanding achievements in business, production and social security which have significantly contributed to the country’s general development. He also advised PVFCCo to keep on strengthening the staff and the management system, restructurate, diversify products, reinforce competitiveness, conserve domestic market and expand oversea markets to maintain its position as the leading company in the field of its activity.
Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Phung Dinh Thuc affirmed that the Party and State’s investment decision in Phu My Fertilizer Plant was absolutely right, which helped stabilizing the fertilizer market and ensuring the national food security. PVFCCo has become a powerful company under PVN, one of the leading businesses that is not only making profit for shareholders but also actively contributing to the social security. Thuc believes that by the whole staff’s endeavour and creativity, PVFCCo will continue to move forward, get success in other fields, particularly in chemicals, oil and gas sector.
In return, Mr. Cao Hoai Duong sincerely thanked the Party, State and PVN’s leaders for those kind words on PVFCCo’s achievements. On behalf of the whole staff, Duong earnestly took into account these leaders’ advices that were both oriented and very specific. With the Party, State, PVN and shareholders’ supports, the whole staff of PVFCCo would try their best together to write the glorious history and take PVFCCo to a new level.
For the outstanding achievements attained during “10 years of building and development”, PVFCCo and Phu My Fertilizer Plant were honored to receive the First Class Labor Medal dedicated by the Party and State to the whole PVFCCo’s staff. In addition, the Party and State also awarded the Third Class Labor Medals for 1 team and 4 individuals, Certificates of Merit from the Prime Minister for 7 teams, 17 individuals who had successfully done their missions over the last time, Certificates of Merit from the Vietnamese Fatherland Front’s Central Committee for PVFCCo’s social security activities.
To celebrate 10th anniversary, in the morning 26/3, PVFCCo also inaugurated the history exhibition room at 4th floor, PVFCCo tower.
