Exactly 15 years ago, on March 28 2003, the Minister –Chairmanof the Government Office signed the Decision No. 02/2003/QD-VPCP establishing PetroVietnam Fertilizer and Chemicals Company, predecessor of PetroVietnam Fertilizers and Chemicals Corporation (PVFCCo), tasked with taking overand operating Phu My Fertilizer Plant – the first plant in Vietnam producing ureafrom natural gas feedstock, with its capacity equivalent to 50% of the domestic urea demands at that time.
PVFCCo has been relentlessly growing and developing since then. From one company initially, ithas growninto a corporation consisting of a parent company and 4 subsidiaries, 3 branches, with the system of dealers and warehouses and terminals throughout the country; staring with a single product- Phu My Urea, PVFCCo now offers and supplies a full portfolio of Phu My Fertilizers; from one Phu My Urea Plant, now PVFCCo has built Phu My NPK Plant – chemical technology and chemical manufacturing unit. PVFCCo affirms its position as the leading fertilizer and petrochemical producer in the country, setting a beautiful example for implementing the Party and State’s policyon “Tam nông”: Agriculture-Rural Areas- Farmers, actively contributing to changes in the over all picture of the countryside, closely partnering with farmers for bountiful harvests.
