Ho Chi Minh City, December 4, 2012 – Petrovietnam Fertilizer and Chemicals Corporation (PVFCCo – stock code DPM) in coordination with the Quang Ngai’s Labor Federation granted to 4 fisheries associations of Quang Ngai province an amount of VND200 million donated by PVFCCo’s employees in an activity to respond the program “The net of affection for Hoang Sa (Paracel Islands) and Truong Sa (Spratly islands)”.
This program launched by the Vietnam General Confederation of Labour for the purpose of fundraising and helping fishermen in Quang Ngai purchase equipments to effectively exploit seafood and marine resources, confidently fish offshore and stick to the traditional fishing grounds of Hoang sa and Truong Sa archipelagoes as well as contribute to protect national sovereignty over sacred islands and sea. The program has been raised by the Standing committee of Petrovietnam Trade Union and PVFCCo’s Trade Union and has received an enthusiastic response of all PVFCCo’s employees.
It is known that PVFFCo is the leading company in Vietnam in the field of fertilizer and chemicals production – business and also one of the pioneers in the field of social responsibility. Since its establishment so far, PVFCCo has funded more than VND500 billion for welfare and community projects in the fields of health, education, grand union house construction, humanitarian aid and gratitude.
