Ho Chi Minh City, November 10, 2012 – It’s said by PetroVietnam Fertilizer and Chemicals Corporation (PVFCCo – stock code DPM) that many social security projects with total sponsorship of about VND 9 billion have been completed and handed over in November 2012.
Specifically, on November 10, PVFCCo in collaboration with the School Management Board, local leaders of Quynh Thach Commune, Quynh Luu District, Nghe An Province organized the inauguration of classroom building of Quynh Thach Primary School with total investment of VND 5 billion and 337 million, in which PVFCCo had financed an amount of VND 5 billion. The classroom building project of Quynh Thach Elementary School’s was started in May 2012 with the sponsorship from PVFCCo’s Social Security Fund in 2011-2012. With two storeys , 12 classrooms and total using area of over 900 m2, the work completion is a significant contribution to solve the shortage of classrooms at Quynh Thach Commune – a near-poor commune with many difficulties in Nghe An Province. So far PVFCCo has supported more than VND 20 billion to implement social security programs in Nghe An Province.
From November 1 to 15, at the two provinces of Lam Dong and Kien Giang, PVFCCo also collaborated with Vietnam Fatherland Front and local authorities of the two provinces to hand over 214 Great Solidarity houses with total value of VND 4 billion to poor households in Lam Dong and Kien Giang Provinces. This activity has belonged to the “Great Solidarity Housing” program for the poor in accordance with the Government’s Program 167 and being one annual activities to share and support entities with difficult conditions as well as stick to PVFCCo’ commitments for the community.
So far, PVFCCohas supported to build nearly 16,000 Great Solidarity Houses, 50 school projects, hospitals health centers, and improve the education quality, health care and living conditions of thousands poor families nationwide. In 2012, PVFCCo will spend about VND 57.5 billion from the Social Security Fund to construct 16 education and health care projects over the country.
