With the implementation period lasting more than 30 days (from 22 November 2017 to 22 December 2017) covering 5,105 work items (including 4,792 items for the plant, 313 items for the Project), the 2017 Overall Maintenance has been the most complex and largest maintenance to date. Especiallythe tie-in between Phu My Fertilizer Plant with revamped NH3 unit, and Phu My NPK plantwas of utmost importance… With the close instructions of PVFCCo’s BOD, the Steering Committee of Overall Maintenance and the efforts of the staff,who were part of the maintenance scheme, Phu My Fertilizer Plant successfully implemented the maintenance work. In order to learn and acquire experience for the future projects, on 30/3/2018, Phu My Fertilizer Plant held a workshop on Overall Maintenance (OM) in 2017.
Attendees included Ms. Nguyen Thi Hien – Vice Chairman of PVFCCo’s Board of Management; Ms. Tran Thi Phuong Thao – Vice President; Mr. Le Van Quoc Viet – Vice President; Mr. Le Trong Dinh Chi – Director of Phu My Fertilizer Plant and other representatives of PVFCCo’s Divisions, member units, representatives of Unions and organizations … together with 140 delegates from departments/division in the Plant and PVFCCo.
At the workshop, the attendees were briefed on2017 overall maintenance, listening to reports/speeches and comments on the topics: safety and security in Overall Maintenance; co-ordination,implementation and operation of NH3 Unit during the execution of the revamping project; assessing the causes of the compressor’s high temperature and corrective measures; solutions for measurement – control systems; and assessment of equipment condition in Overall Maintenance and forthcoming plans …
Speaking at the workshop, Ms. Nguyen Thi Hien praised the preparation and organization of the workshop agenda and considered the success of the 2017 overall maintenance to be of important meaning, contributing to the successful completion of the 2017 plan. She also appreciated the reports presented at the workshop which were focused, highly specialized, drawn from practice and contributed in an open, constructive comments, which would be lessons for the preparation for the next Overall Maintenance. The Vice Chairman also urged the Plant Management Boardto pay attentiontotheincoming model and production management process when the large volume of assets would be mobilized to one focal point. The Management Board shouldmaintain the high sense of responsibility, mastering the technology and equipment, and be well aware of challenges. The Board should also optimize costs, inventories and norms, co-ordinating with other units sharing the use of static equipment to reduce costs …
