From 27th to 28th September 2018, Phu My Fertilizer Plant in coordination with Ba Ria Vung Tau Province Division of Firefighting and Rescue to organize the 6th Firefighting and Rescue Sport Festival in 2018. This is essential activities to welcome and celebrate the National Firefighting Day (04/10/1961-04/10/2018), concurrently promote communication and education in awareness of complying to firefighting regulations, improve leadership skills and prepare to cope with any situation, establish increasingly strong basic firefighting force, meet requirements of manufacture, safety, firefighting and rescue in the new stage.
The participants in the Sport Festival includes: Mr. Le Trong Dinh Chi – Plant Director, Head of Organizing Board; Mr. Nguyen Dinh Hung – Deputy Director, Head of Trade Union Division of the Plant, Vice Head of Organizing Board, representatives of functional divisions of Head Office and units of Phu My Fertilizer Plantand Mr. Do Minh Quan, Senior Lieutenant – Head of Firefighting and Rescue Arbitrator Team, Ba Ria Vung Tau Police of Firefighting and Rescue.
In the Sport Festival, there are 14 teams from Phu My Fertilizer Plant, PVFCCo Head Office, Phu My Fertilizer Plant security (PVS). These teams are divided into 2 groups with competitions of basic and specialized firefighting. The specialized firefighting group including 4 teams of 4 fire brigades under Safety and Security Division compete in 2 events of 4 x100 meters relay racing for saving victims, using extinguisher, fire blanket, spreading hose reels and fire crew using 02 fire stream nozzle B for targeted objects. The basic firefighting group including 10 teams from operation, maintenance workshops and 02 inviting teams – PVFCCo Head Office and PVS compete 4 x100 meters relay racing for saving victims, using extinguisher, fire blanket, spreading hose reels.
After 2 exciting competition days, with careful preparation of Organizing Board, practice and competition awareness of teams, whole-hearted working and equality of Board of Examiners, the Sport Festival closed with meanings and achievements: improving awareness of firefighting and safety for officials and employee; skills and level of fire fighters, for officials and employee are increasingly completed and raised, prepared to cope with any situations may occur.
