Over the past years, PVFCCo has always paid attention in coordination with agricultural authorities to implement a series of performance models using PVFCCo’s fertilizers for visually showing to farmers the cultivation techniques for each type of plant and soil.
Accordingly, PVFCCo and member companies have actively cooperated with many scientific units such as Mekong Delta Development Research Institute, University of Agriculture, Plant Protection Department, Agricultural Promotion Station, Department of Cultivation and agricultural experts to implement a series of performance models, large sample field models, synchronous mechanization programs of using Phu My Fertilizer and many seminars, agricultural knowledge spreading programs on media channels, television to provide technical solution package, process how-to use fertilizers, plant protection products and advanced cultivation techniques to help farmers saving input cost as well as improving production efficiency and contributing to environmental protection.
The performance models showed very convincing results due to harmonious and reasonable use of fertilizer, uniform application on large scale of scientific and technical measures, significant reduction of plant protection products but they also ensure the growth and development of plants as well as productivity and product quality. Final economic efficiency on the same field is also higher than one of traditional cultivation methods. Especially, PVFCCo also participated in the large sample field program associated with synchronous mechanization measures from production to harvest that significantly helped reducing labor effort, post-harvest losses, contributing to the success of the model. Farmers were very excited about the efficiency of the performance models and learnt useful experiences from them.
Local agricultural authorities highly appreciated the implementation of the performance models and technical guidance of PVFCCo over the past years, and look forward to replicate the models in the future.
During the winter-spring crop 2012 – 2013, PVFCCo deployed 14 performance models on rice plant in Northern regions, 9 models in Central regions, 6 models on industrial plants (tea, pitaya, coffee, rubber, pepper) in Southeast and 6 models in South West regions, 6 models in Cambodia. For the summer-autumn crop, PVFCCo expects to hold another 35 seminars in domestic and international regions.
