Today morning (Nov 28th 2013), at Saigon Exhibition & Convention Center (SECC), the Opening of the 10th ASCOPE (Asean Councils on Petroleum) Conference & Exhibition has officially been held. Attending to this opening ceremony, from Party and Government Leaders, there were Mr. Hoang Trung Hai – Member of the Central Party, Deputy Prime Minister, Mr. Pham Quang Vinh – Vice Minister of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Mr. Le Duong Quang – Vice Minister of the Ministry of Industry and Trade; from Vietnam National Oil and Gas Group, there were Mr. Phung Dinh Thuc, Chairman of Board of Directors, Mr. Do Van Hau, President and CEO, together with other members of Board of Directors, members of Management Board, members of boards of Petrovietnam, and representatives of subsidiaries of Petrovietnam; from PVFCCo, there were Mr. Bui Minh Tien – Chairman of Board, Mr. Cao Hoai Duong – President and CEO, members of Board, Board of Directors, boards and members of PVFCCo.
Established 10 years ago, ASCOPE is the regional organization of member countries in ASEAN area, including national oil and gas companies and management authorities among coutries within the region. Periodically every four years and alternately held among member countries, the 10th Ascope has been hosted under the theme “Innovation & Cooperation – The Way Forward” by Petrovietnam. Within the frame of 10th Ascope taking place from 28-30 Nov 2013, at exhibition area, there will be displayed and introduced of state-of-the-art of oil and gas technological achivements, equipment, and techniques serving for new oil field discoveries and deployment, oil and gas processing and transportation, instrumentation, power control, automatic processing and controlling system, integrated managing system applied for plant management, software, innovative projecs for building oil and gas infrastructure, machinery, protective equipment and services for oil and gas group, products and achivements of petrochemical industry… Besides this, the Summit Session and 7 Technical Conferences have also been focused on exchanging and discussing the current issues of global oil and gas field and updating practical activities in the region, sharing opportunities, information, and managing experience…
