On August 08, 2012, an inauguration ceremony of subject classroom was successfully held at Vinh Loc High School, Vinh Loc District, Thanh Hoa Province with total spondsored values of VND 5.9 billion.
Attending the inauguration ceremony was Mr. Pham Dang Quyen, Vice Chairman of People’s Committee of Thanh Hoa Province, Head of Vinh Loc District as well as administration board and pupils of Vinh Loc High School.
The ceremony also welcomed the attendance of Mr. Do Van Hau – President & CEO of Petrovietnam (PVN); Mr. Nguyen Tien Dung – Vice president; Mr. Le Minh Hong – Vice president; and other department representatives. From PVFCCo were Mr. Bui Minh Tien – Chairman; and Mr. Cao Hoai Duong – President & CEO of PVFCCo.
The construction of subject classroom of Vinh Loc High School was sponsored by PVFCCo’s Fund for Social Welfare in 2011-2012 and started from August 2011. The works consisted of 3 floors with 6 modern and well-equipped classrooms to support the local pupils. PVFCCo has not only sponsored the construction costs but also supported purchasing the school facilities including 60 sets of high-speed computer, 58 double-computer desks, pupils’ desks, projectors, biochemistry laboratory equipments…
Vinh Loc High School was established since 1960, during the resistance war against US. More than 7,000 pupils had graduated from the school over the last 50 years, and 2,000 pupils among that enrolled in national and overseas universities with dozens becoming doctors and doctors of science…
Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Pham Dang Quyen – Vice Chairman of People’s Committee of Thanh Hoa Province showed his gratitude to PVN and PVFCCo for sponsoring many social welfare projects of Thanh Hoa region in general and the subject classroom at Vinh Loc High School in particular, and hoped to receive more attention and sharing from PVN in general and from PVFCCo in particular.
Mr. Do Van Hau, General Director of PVN highly appraised PVFCCo and the construction unit for high-progress and quality execution, congratulating teachers and pupils of Vinh Loc High School for new subject classroom with modern equipments that helpfully contributes to improve pupils’ academic results and committing that PVN will keep implementing social welfare programs at Thanh Hoa Province in particular and nationally, in general.
