On October 13, 2023, the Vietnam National Oil and Gas Group (PVN) and the PetroVietnam Fertilizer and Chemicals Corporation (PVFCCo) collaborated with the People’s Committee of Ba Don Town, Quang Binh Province to organize the inauguration and handover ceremony of a school building and facilities for Elementary School No. 2 in Quang Phuc Ward, sponsored by PVFCCo.
The project, with a total value of 5 billion Vietnamese dong, was constructed on an area of approximately 300 square meters with a scientifically designed two-story building featuring six functional rooms. The construction includes a complete electrical lighting system, drainage, and lightning protection, and is equipped with various study aids such as teacher and student desks, anti-glare boards, televisions, and computers.
Speaking at the ceremony, on behalf of the local leadership, Mr. Pham Thanh Minh, a member of the Town’s Party Committee and Head of the Education and Training Department, expressed deep gratitude to PVN and PVFCCo for their significant contribution. He emphasized that this valuable gift holds long-lasting and sustainable meaning for the school’s education mission as well as the broader educational sector in Ba Don Town.
Also at the ceremony, with great happiness, Principal Nguyen Van Dong emotionally expressed that this valuable construction not only helps the local community, the school, and parents of the students in reducing the difficulties in building physical infrastructure but also creates a vibrant teaching and learning atmosphere within the school. It inspires the students to develop compassion and love for humanity and to aspire to become exemplary students who overcome challenges and excel in both their academic and personal lives.
The recently inaugurated school building and facilities represent one of the social welfare activities aimed at contributing to the community that PVFCCo has been implementing over the past years. Recognizing that education is a top national priority, PVFCCo has always attached great importance to accompanying the education cause and has fulfilled this responsibility with dedication. This commitment has contributed to the “sharing” culture that PVFCCo has fostered over the past two decades.
