During 14 and 15 June, 2013, at the Youth Cultural House – Ho Chi Minh City, the fifth PVFCCo Festival – Singing for Bountiful Harvests in 2013 took place. The festival gathered nearly 400 amateur actors and actresses representing nearly 2,000 personnel of 12 musical teams from PVFCCo’s subsidiaries around the country.
During the two days of Festival, PVFCCo’s employees enjoyed many featured art items of distinction, elaborate staging, professional and impressive performing styles. This Festival’s 70 items covered various topics and genres such as praising the glorious Party and beloved Uncle Ho, or praising the love of the country, the oil and gas industry, agriculture and rural land, and PVFCCo; especially, many programs on the nation’s sea and islands were really colourful flowers contributing to the fragrant flower forest of the program. The Festival “Singing for bumper crop in 2013” – the special one celebrating the10th anniversary of PVFCCo is really a generous feast of music, amazing audiences with different surprises, taking them to all regions of the country, from deltas to the Central Highlands and outside islands, from the depth of the country’s history and sacred love for the homeland to dedication and pride of PVFCCo.
During two days, as commented by Mr. Bui Minh Tien – Party Secretary and BOD Chairman, the audience – PVFCCo’s employees enthusiastically and objectively cheered for all teams participating in the Festival; particularly supported remote teams such as the PVFCCo North from Hanoi by plane, PVFCCo Central from Quy Nhon by train, or PVFCCo Southwest from Can Tho. The loud applause, praise and encouragement always filling the hall were the important factors for artists to inspire, devote themselves and shine.
The Festival’s two days plus nearly two-months for preparation finally ended, and as Mr. Cao Hoai Duong – PVFCCo’s President & CEO shared: The Festival was a great success, it was not only an amazing playground to actors and actresses but also helped tighten solidarity, understanding, and sharing in the whole team, animate and highlight PVFCCo’s tradition and brand. It was a meaningful spiritual gift to celebrate PVFCCo’s 10th anniversary.
The jury with prestigious members including People’s Artist Kim Quy, Musician Tran Xuan Tien, and Musician Vu Hoang devotedly and unbiasedly worked to pick out individual and team prizes for the Festival. There were 20 Gold prizes, 20 Silver prizes, 20 Bronze prizes awarded to items, and 4 prizes for best scripts. As for teams, the highest prize –Special Prize was awarded to the Phu My Fertilizer Plant Maintenance Division’s team, the First Prize went to the Team of PVFCCo’s Economy – Office Administration Division, the Second Prize to teams of Phu My Fertilizer Plant Operation Division and Technique – Investment – Commerce Division, the third prize for teams including PVFCCo North, PVFCCo Southeast; and Phu My Fertilizer Plant’s Office Division.
