On October 18th, 2013, in Vung Tau, on the occasion of the 83rd anniversary of Vietnam Women’s Day, the PVFCCo Trade Union organized many exciting and meaningful cultural exchange – sports activities.
Attendees of this event, from the leadership of Vietnam National Oil and Gas Group, included Ms. Nghiem Thuy Lan – Vice Chairwoman of PVN Trade Union and Ms. Luong Thi Hong Nhung Deputy Head of Propaganda, Training – Domestic Science Committee of PVN Trade Union; and from the leadership of PVFCCo. Mr. Bui Minh Tien – PVFCCo’s Chairman, Mr. Cao Hoai Duong – President & CEO, Mr. Tong Xuan Phong – Chairman of PVFCCo Trade Union, other cadres in the Standing Committee, Board of Directors, Management Board, and representatives of PVFCCo Committees and member companies, and especially over 400 PVFCCo.’s female employees.
The event took place from the afternoon of October, 18th with the final round of Women’s Football Competition. Previously, the group stage had been organized at different areas and 4 best teams were selected to compete for the First, Second and joint Third prizes. Eventually, Phu My Fertilizer Plant was the First prize winner; the Second Prize went to Allied team between PVFCCo.’s Office and HCM Branch; and the Third prize co-winners were Dam Phu My Packaging Joint Stock Company and Allied team of PVFCCo’s regional companies and PVFCCo-SBD. For individual prizes, player Duong Thi Lap – Phu My Fertilizer Plant – has won the Top Scorer prize; Duong Thi Roi – Dam Phu My Packaging Joint Stock Company – has won Best Keeper; the most charming player award has been awarded to Nguyen Thi Thanh Nga – PVFCCo’s Office, and the most senior player was Pham Thi Huong – PVFCCo-SBD.
Simultaneously, the organizer also held a friendly game of “Allied team of PVFCCo’s Leaders vs. the team of Committees/Subsidiaries Leaders,” and the final score was 1:0 for PVFCCo’s Leaders Team.
In the evening of the same day, the Gala dinner was held in support of exchange between PVFCCo leaders and female employees, also to reward member companies and individuals with excellent achievements in domestic science activities, to hand football competition prizes, and to organize a lucky draw with the total of 50 gifts for female employees only.
Prompted by the exciting but cordial atmosphere of the football matches in the afternoon, attendees of the exchange meeting have actively engaged in talks. Addressing the award ceremony, Mr. Bui Minh Tien – PVFCCo’s Chairman, and Mr. Cao Hoai Duong – President & CEO said: the success of PVFCCo has received a great contribution from female employees, who do not only fulfill their family responsibility but also well perform their assigned tasks. Besides, female employees are also a factor connecting the solidarity spirit throughout PVFCCo, playing an active role in movements, culture and art activities. In the Women’s Football Competition, everyone was surprised to see that female players often appearing very delicate in daily life had strong and powerful shots on the pitch! Especially the two female guests from PVN leaders also exclaimed that perhaps such exciting, meaningful, and intimate activities appeared for the first time at PVFCCo.
PVFCCo leadership highly valuate the contribution of female employees and the organizing tasks of PVFCCo Trade Union for the multiple activities celebrating the anniversary of October 20th this year.
