The Ho Chi Minh City Stock Exchange (HOSE) has received the 2015 assessment results from the ASEAN Corporate Governance Scorecard assessment project. Accordingly, Vietnam’s Top 3 listed companies with highest Corporate Governance Scores are Vietnam Dairy Products Joint Stock Company (VNM); Ho Chi Minh City Securities Corporation (HCM); PetroVietnam Fertilizer and Chemicals Corporation (DPM) and the 2 listed companies with improved Corporate Governance Scores in the 3 years of assessment are Hoang Anh Gia Lai Joint Stock Company (HAG) and Refrigeration Electrical Engineering Corporation (REE).
In 2015, 55 listed companies (50 companies listed on HOSE and 5 companies listed on HNX) in Vietnam stock market have been assessed.
The ASEAN Corporate Governance honour and award ceremony is scheduled to take place on November 14, 2015 in Manila, Philippines. The event coincides with the summit of heads of states of the ASEAN Economic Community (AEC) around that time; thus expected to attract more international business and investment organizations.
Corporate governance, especially information disclosure issues, has been focused and improved by many listed companies, aimed at long term benefits to not only the investors and businesses, but also the stock market.
