Petrotimes – The hygienic safety worker team of Petroleum Chemicals and Fertilizer Corporation (PVFCCo) has just won the second prize in the 2012 festival contest of “Good Hygienic Safety Workers of Ba Ria – Vung Tau” in 2012 held by the Labor Federation of Ba Ria – Vung Tau.
The Phu My Fertilizer Plant team representing PVFCCo joined this festival contest to compete with 85 contestants from 15 trade union organizations in the provinces such as: Hoa Binh Rubber Joint stock Company, Ba Ria Rubber Joint stock Company, PTSC, Vietsovpetro, industrial parks labor union, and districts of Ba Ria – Vung Tau Province.
The festival contest (held from 7/9) was intended to improve awareness, methods, quality and operational skills of hygienic safety workers and promote professional and safety capacities, at the same time the good implementation of labor hygiene safety work in the unit. The festival contest was taken place in the exciting atmosphere including four parts: self-introduction; starting contest; knowledge and practice contests. After two days of exciting and breath-taking competition, PVFCCo”s Hygienic Safety Worker team won the second prize for team competition and was awarded with a Merit Certificate by the Chairman of Ba Ria – Vung Tau People”s Committee.
Apart from the success of the contestants, the fan team also made remarkable contribution. In addition to correctly answering the questions from the Organizer for the fan teams, which demonstrated the safety awareness of PVFCCo”s officers and employees, they also added PVFCCo”s feature colors to the festival atmosphere: the PVFCCo balloon was flying during the contest festival, the slogans “PVFCCo – solidarity, self-confidence, victory” or “Phu My Urea – For bumper crop” were constantly reverberated … contributing to promotion of PVFCCo”s products, appearing closer to fellow farmers … The fan team of PVFCCo won the first prize of the team competition.
Reportedly, in the part of self-introduction, the contestant teams brought various emotions to the festival contest, reflecting specific characteristics, existing difficulties, even bad habits in production …Other contents of the contest referred to labor protection problems; first-aid skills for labor accidents on site and skills handling common incidents such as: poisoning, chemical splashing into eyes, bandaging , arm and leg breakage…
