(PetroTimes) – For many years, alongside other social welfare activities, the PetroVietnam Fertilizer and Chemicals Corporation (PVFCCo) has particularly focused on supporting and accompanying education. Numerous school projects have been constructed, and thousands of scholarships have been awarded to students, making a practical contribution to the development of education nationwide.
In its activities, PVFCCo takes sustainable development as the guiding principle and philosophy of the enterprise. The culture of “Sharing,” along with a business philosophy that combines production with social responsibility, has been preserved and developed by generations of PVFCCo employees as a valuable asset. Over more than 20 years since its establishment, PVFCCo has consistently been recognized as one of the leading enterprises in implementing social welfare efforts within the Vietnam Oil and Gas Group (Petrovietnam). Notably, every year, regardless of favorable or challenging circumstances, PVFCCo has ensured the ongoing implementation of social welfare programs across the country.
To date, PVFCCo has allocated over 1,200 billion VND for social welfare activities, which include nearly 26,000 “Great Unity” houses, gratitude houses, around 300 healthcare and educational projects, rural bridges, hundreds of thousands of relief gifts for disaster victims, Tet gifts for the poor, and scholarships for students. Specifically, from the beginning of 2024 until now, PVFCCo has funded the construction of 204 “Great Unity” houses and implemented various programs in gratitude for contributions, as well as healthcare programs.
Notably, in 2024, PVFCCo is placing significant emphasis on education-related programs.
Representatives of PVFCCo stated that in the first nine months of 2024, the unit has supported and funded 20 educational programs across the country, amounting to over 26 billion VND. In August and September of this year, PVFCCo also inaugurated and handed over several major educational projects that were funded by the corporation.
Specifically, on September 28, 2024, PVFCCo coordinated to organize the inauguration and handover of the classroom building and facilities at Quang Tien Secondary School (Quang Binh). The project has a total investment of 5.2 billion VND, with PVFCCo providing 5 billion VND. It was built on an area of approximately 300m², featuring a scientific design consisting of a 2-story building with 6 functional rooms.
Previously, on August 26, 2024, in Viet Tri City, Phu Tho Province, PVFCCo inaugurated and handed over the construction of a 2-story, 6-classroom building for Trưng Vương Kindergarten. The project had a total investment of over 7.4 billion VND, with PVFCCo contributing 4.5 billion VND as part of the allocation and overall plan of Vietnam Oil and Gas Group (Petrovietnam). Also, at the end of August 2024, the multi-purpose building and auxiliary items at My Trung Primary School (My Loc District, Nam Dinh Province), funded by PVFCCo with a total value of 5 billion VND, were inaugurated and handed over to the school. This project involved the complete construction of a new facility with a total construction area of 458.75m², equipped with various functional areas to support physical education.
Over the years, alongside other social welfare activities, education has always received special attention and support from PVFCCo. Numerous projects have been built with modern facilities and teaching equipment, contributing to creating the best teaching and learning conditions for teachers and students, especially in difficult localities, thereby promoting educational development in those areas. Thousands of scholarships have been provided by PVFCCo to students nationwide over the years, supporting them on their journey to realize their dreams and motivating them to excel in their studies, becoming useful members of society and contributing to the country’s development.
With the recognition that investing in education and the younger generation is the most sustainable and important investment, PVFCCo commits to continue implementing many programs to accompany and support educational development in the future.
