HCMC, 14 Nov. 2014 – As advised by PetroVietnam Fertilizer and Chemicals Corporation (PVFCCo – stock code: DPM), Phu My fertilizer producer and trader, required procedure for exporting 500 tonnes of Phu My Urea to New Zealand was completed by at Cat Lai Port. This is the first shipment in jumbo bags, large bag size of 1,000 kg capacity each, exported by PVFCCo.To meet its counterparts’ demand for imported urea in Jumbo bags, by mid-March 2014, PVFCCo installed Jumbo packaging system at Phu My Fertilizer Plant’s production line. The Jumbo packaging system was invested approximately VND 7 billion totally, with the capacity of 20 one-tonne bags/hour and 24/24 operation hours in 300 days/year. Thanks to the system, in addition to the traditional packaging size (50-kg bag), large bag sizes of urea (500kg – 1,000kg/bag) could be packed by PVFCCo to meet the export requirements, especially for container shipments.
“In addition to diversified packaging sizes, the mentioned first export shipment in Jumbo bags to New Zealand proves that the quality of PVFCCo’s Phu My urea is recognized in international market since it can meet the demands of agricultural producers in New Zealand. Phu My urea is accepted though its price is higher than that of similar products manufactured in the Southeast Asia and Middle East countries.” said Mr. Duong Tri Hoi – PVFCCo’s Vice President.
New Zealand is known as a country of clean agricultural production. Input materials for agricultural production therein are required to meet series of very strict quality standards to ensure safety for agricultural products and environment- friendliness.
