HCMC, June 19, 2015 – According to Petrovietnam Fertilizer and Chemicals Corporation (PVFCCo – stock code DPM, producer and trader of Phu My fertilizer products), PVFCCo is carrying out a program worth over VND 1.2 billion to support thousands of families heavily suffering from prolonged heat wave and drought in Southern Central provinces.
The program has been implemented by PVFCCo together with two of its member companies, namely PVFCCo Central and PVFCCo South East, in co-ordination with local agencies, authorities, Fatherland Front Committee and Red Cross of Vietnam from June 18, 2015 in Binh Dinh, Khanh Hoa, Ninh Thuan, Binh Thuan – provinces severely hit by widespread drought. The list of recipient households was prepared by the local Red Cross of Vietnam or Vietnamese Fatherland Front Committee.
In this program, PVFCCo offered 2,000 gifts; worth VND 300,000 apiece, including water and food as urgent relief to households in the two provinces of Ninh Thuan and Binh Thuan; for households in Binh Dinh and Khanh Hoa, PVFCCo provided 50 tons of NPK Phu My 16-16-8+13S+TE worth 510 million dongs (each family received 25 kg of NPK Phu My 16-16-8+13S+TE and agricultural technique instructions for new production season) and financed VND 100 million to build 4 wells or fresh water reservoirs as long term water supply sources, ensuring hygienic life for local residents.
