Ho Chi Minh city, May 12th, 2014 –Petrovietnam Fertilizer and Chemicals Corporation (PVFCCo –stock code DPM), the producer of Phu My fertilizer products has just coordinated with the Command of Vietnam Coast Guard in organizing the ceremony to handover the high-speed petrol boat H47P to the Coast Guard force in Vung Tau.
The high-speed patrol boat H47P worth 12 billion VND sponsored by PVFCCo, was made of PPC (polypropylene copolymer), one of today’s best materials for boat and canoe manufacturing thanks to its ability to withstand shocks, long life, good operation in rough weather conditions and environmental friendliness. The boat, 13.5m in length, 3.5m in width with displacement of 10.2 tons and 600 horsepower, can carry 3 tons of cargo and 12 crew members. The Command of Coast Guard has handed over the boat to the Coast Guard Region 3 for management and operation.
Addressing the Handover ceremony, Mr. Le Van Quoc Viet –PVFCCo”s Vice President said: “The sponsorship for H47P building project demonstrates the spirit and responsibility of PVFCCo in protecting our sea and island sovereignty. With the new patrol boat, Vietnam Coast Guard will have an efficient instrument for patrol and supervision of Vietnam’s coast”.
Reportedly, in 2013, PVFCCo maintained and completed several sponsorship programs for our sea and island with total value of approximately 22.5 billion VND. In addition to the patrol boat sponsorship project, the support activities for our sea and island also include many practical activities such as scholarship awards to the students being children of Navy officers and soldiers, support program of “Fishing net of Affection”, making the big-size promotion painting on Spratly Island…
As part of the supporting program, from 03-12/5/2014, PVFCCo has dispatched officers and staff to join exchange activities at Spratly Island in the task force No. 10 together with PVN, Vietinbank and some other organizations. During this trip, the task force has attended the inauguration ceremony of ceramic painting titled “Spratly Island –Strength of Vietnam”; Multi-purpose Cultural house and 4 freshwater projects on Spratly Island.
