Ho Chi Minh City, June 22nd 2015 – Petrovietnam Fertilizer and Chemicals Corporation (PVFCCo – Stock code: DPM, producer and trader of Phu My fertilizers) announced that the 2015 periodic overall maintenance of Phu My Fertilizer Plant was successfully completed ahead of schedule.
The overall maintenance of Phu My Fertilizer Plant is carried out every 2 years. This maintenance started from May 26th 2015 and satisfied all four criteria of safety, quality, progress and cost. The plant officially released urea at 100% design capacity at 23h55 on June 20th 2015, 2 days ahead of schedule. This progress brought benefit worth tens of billions of dongs to PVFCCo and contributed to the timely supply of fertilizers for the summer-autumn crop/rainy season of 2015.
Reportedly, in the summer-autumn crop/rainy season of 2015, urea demand of the whole country is expected to reach over 750,000 tons, of which Phu My Fertilizer Plant’s output is approximately over 350,000 tons. Upon resuming normal operation, Phu My Fertilizer Plant will keep supplying 2,400 tons/day, approximately 70,000 tons/month.
Phu My Fertilizer Plant owned by PVFCCo has the capacity of 800,000 tons a year using leading advanced technology provided by Haldor Topsoe (Denmark) to produce ammonia and urea production technology provided by Snamprogetti (Italy). PVFCCo was honored to receive the Certificate of Operational Excellence awarded by Haldor Topsoe; in February 2015, Phu My Fertilizer Plant excellently reached the output of 8 million tons.
