Ho Chi Minh City, 30th September 2013 – Petrovietnam Fertilizer and Chemicals Corporation (PVFCCo – Stock code: DPM) announces that the periodic overall maintenance of Phu My Fertilizer Plant was successfully completed ahead of schedule.
The overall maintenance of Phu My Fertilizer Plant is periodically done once every 2 years. This year it started from 05/09/2013 and satisfied all four criteria of safety, quality, progress and cost. The plant has officially released the urea product, with 100% capacity at 06h13 on 29/09/2013, 38h ahead of schedule. This progress brought benefit worth tens of billions of dongs to PVFCCo and contributed to the timely supply of fertilizers for the next winter-spring crop.
Reportedly, in the 4th quarter of 2013, demand for fertilizers over the country is expected to be over 500 thousand tons while supply of fertilizers from domestic enterprises is estimated to reach 570 thousand tons, in which Phu My Fertilizer Plant’s output is approximately over 200 thousand tons.
Phu My Fertilizer Plant owned by PVFCCo has the capacity of 800,000 tons a year using leading advanced technology provided by Haldor Topsoe to produce ammonia and urea production technology provided by Snamprogetti (Italy). In May 2013, PVFCCo had the honor to receive the Certificate of Operational Excellence granted by Haldor Topsoe for outstanding records of operational stable safety, reaching and exceeding the design capacity for many years, plus the 2nd world record of 188-day continuous operation of Phu My Fertilizer Plant.
