Ho Chi Minh City, December 26, 2013 – PetroVietnam Fertilizer and Chemicals Corporation (PVFCCo – stock code DPM), the enterprise producing and trading Phu My fertilizer products, reported that PVFCCo has started to give more than 8,000 gift sets with total value of 4 billion VND to poor households in 32 provinces nationwide on the occasion of the Lunar New Year 2014.
The program has been co-organized by PVFCCo and its member companies around the country and taken place from 20th December 2013 to 25th January 2014 with the collaboration of the Vietnam Red Cross Society, Vietnam Fatherland Frontier and the local governments. The gift recipients are underprivileged farming families, households under preferential treatment policies, wounded and sick soldiers, the people who have contributed to the Revolution…Each gift set worth 500,000 VND on average, including necessaries used in the Lunar New Year Festival and cash. The recipient lists are selected and approved by the Vietnam Red Cross Society and Vietnam Fatherland Frontier together with the local governments.
The program “Tet for the poor” is an annually social activity that has been deployed by PVFCCo since 2008, aiming at supporting poor and disadvantaged families to have conditions to welcome Tet happily and comfortably. So far, PVFCCo has funded a total of more than 12 billion VND for the program. This is a practical and meaningful activity of PVFCCo’s leaders and employees to share difficulties with disadvantaged families in the whole country, especially those in remote areas.
PVFCCo is a Vietnam’s leading enterprise in fertilizer and chemicals production and business, as well as in social responsibility performance. Since its establishment, PVFCCo has invested more than 600 billion dongs in social security programs in fields of health, education, construction of great solidarity houses, humanitarian relief and returning the favor to the deceased and wounded soldiers.
