Hochiminh City, October 15th 2013 – Today Petrovietnam Fertilizer and Chemicals Corporation (PVFCCo – stock code DPM) proceeds with a program to donate pepper peeling machines to poor farmers at Chu Se, Gia Lai province.
Accordingly, in order to support farmers with production equipment, contributing to the development of the Chu Se pepper brand name, PVFCCo and its member company in Central Vietnam (PVFCCo Central) have donated 30 pepper peeling machines worth VND 150 million to 30 poor families growing peppers at Chu Se.
According to Gia Lai Province, Chu Se District currently has over 3,000 ha of peppers with approximately 8,000 farming families involving in pepper cultivation. Chu Se Pepper is the first pepper brand name officially approved by the National Office of Intellectual Property, Ministry of Science and Technology in Vietnam. The Chu Se peppercorn is big in size, hot, and has a typical flavor. In addition to its traditional black peppers, Chu Se has also planted white peppers and red peppers, which are products of higher value and competitive advantages on the global market.
The peeling machine donating program is a part of social security activities directly aimed at farmers in support of their production and living condition improvement, which PVFCCo has promoted in 2013 by ways of: donating fertilizers, supporting rural pupils, providing free medical examination…
