Hochiminh City, November 20, 2013– It is reported that PetroVietnam Fertilizers and Chemicals Corporation (PVFCCo – stock code DPM) has started deploying the emergency relief programs valued at 1 billion VND for families who have been suffered from severe damages caused by historical floods in Central provinces.
Accordingly, from November 20 to 22, 2013, PVFCCo and its member unit, Central PetroVietnam Fertilizer and Chemicals Joint Stock Company (PVFCCo Central), urgently coordinated with the Red Cross Society and local authorities in provinces have directly visited,encouraged, and supported for 341 families suffered from losing their family member or having house collapsed respectively valued at 1.5 million VND and 1 million VND for each family. At the same time, in the two most seriously affected provinces including Binh Dinh and Quang Ngai,PVFCCo and PVFCCo Central in collaboration with the Red Cross Society organized the visit to grant gifts (worth 300,000 VND/portion)aimed at directly bringing necessities to families who have been isolating with the need of emergency relief.
Thus, within only 4 days after Central provinces suffering from floods and damages, PVFCCo was the first enterprise who visited and implemented the relief programs directly to compatriots. This significant and urgent relief activity has been highly appreciated by compatriots as well as local authorities. Farmers was very emotional when receiving PVFCCo’s support gifts. It was also the heart of PVFCCo for farmers who have trusted and used Phu My fertilizer products over the last years.
This relief activity is a part of PVFCCo’s social security programs directly aimed at victims suffered from damages caused by disasters, farmers affected by weather hazards, agricultural product price,…, which PVFCCo has promoted in 2013.
