The Annual Report Awards 2014 has completed its preliminary round
Accordingly, 121 enterprises have their AR selected for the final round, consisting of 85 from Hochiminh Stock Exchange and 36 from Hanoi Stock Trading Center – with PetroVietnam Fertilizer and Chemicals Corporation (stock code: DPM) included. Qualified ARs have achieved the scores of 60 or more and fully provided key information as required by the voting criteria of the preliminary round.
According to the Board of Examiners of the preliminary round, the overall quality of ARs this year keeps improving, as shown with more intensive contents. However, the number of ARs selected for the final round and the floor score are lower than 132 enterprises and 70 respectively last year. The reason is that the Board of Judges applies stricter voting criteria than those of last year, basing on regulations on publishing AR in the Circular No. 52/2012/TT-BTC guiding the information release on the stock exchange. Accordingly, AR lacking any of the main contents according to the regulations would be eliminated.
In the final round, the preliminary round score will represent 20% and the score by the Board of Judges in the final round 80% in the total score for ARA ranking this year. Apart from the official awards Top 10, Top 30 and Top 50, the Board of Judges will give their intensive scores to award the AR with Best Corporate Governance. This award is closely associated to the main theme of ARA 2014. The Board of Judges can review and recognize the “Best AR” for the AR with its outstanding content and presentation form. The voting criteria for this will be the AR with highest score, including more than 50% criteria winning highest score and the average score of all criteria will be at least 80 or above.
