From April 21 to 24, 2014, Ms. Nguyen Thi Hien – PVFCCo’s Vice Chairwoman of BOD and spokeswoman togetherwith representatives of IR Team participated the event CIMB Corporate Day 2104 – the Annual Investor Conference held by the CIMB Group in Hong Kong, aiming at introducing regional most potential listed companies to global investors.
CIMB is a financial investment group that operates in more than 10 countries in Asia – Pacific region (excluding Japan) and currently manages about 1,100 investment portfolios. CIMB Corporate Day is the Annual Investor Conference held by the main organizer CIMB in countries having developed financial markets in the region.
At the Investor conference CIMB Corporate Day 2014, about 40 big regional listed companies coming from China & Hong Kong, Singapore, Thailand, Vietnam, Indonesia, Malaysia, and Koreaattended individual meetings with hundreds of representatives from major investment funds in the world. Of which, there were 5 big listed companies coming from Vietnam, namely PVFCCo (Phu My Fertilizer), DHG Pharma, Vietcombank, FPT and Eximbank.
At the event, Ms. Nguyen Thi Hien and the representatives of IR team met individually with 13 major investment funds including Baring Asset Management, Mitsubishi UFJ Investment, Daiwa SB Investment, LIM Advisors, Imperia Investment Group, Aspen Crest Partners, NTA Asset…coming from Europe, the U.S., Japan, Thailand. At the meetings, Ms. Nguyen Thi Hien and the representatives of IR team introduced PVFCCo”s fertilizer and chemicals development plan and strategy in long term to the investors and discussed with them about matters of mutual concerns.
Besides the individual meetings, PVFCCo also attended 2 presentations togetherwith investors: The presentation on equitization process and calling for investment in state owned enterprises hosted by Mr. Pham Viet Muon – Vice Chairman of Government Office, Head of the National Steering Committee for Enterprise Renovation and Development; the other presentation was on prospects and investment opportunities in Vietnam”s garment and textile industry hosted by Vinatex.
