Ho Chi Minh City, November 11th2011 – At the PVFCCo’s headquarter office there was held a voluntary blood donation with the participation of more than 100 employees of PVFCCo and staffs working in the PVFCCo building residing in 43 Mac Dinh Chi street.
This is an initiative of the PVFCCo’s Youth Union to implement one of the core philosophies in PVFCCo’s corporate culture is “responsibility & share”, with the motto of “each drop of blood given, each life saved”, and this is also one of many Youth’s activities to celebrate the 50thanniversary marking Petroleum Industry establishment date. This initiative has been warmly welcomed by the PVFCCo’s Party Committee and Board, and received enthusiastic responses from all over the staff working in Ho Chi Minh city area.
After the blood donation completed, PVFCCo’s staffs in Ho Chi Minh city and employees from other companies located in PVFCCo Tower (such as OceanBank, VietcomBank, security guards 007, cleaning employees) have donated total 111 units of blood (350 milliliters / unit of blood) to the Hematology Center of Cho Ray Hospital, HCM city. This initiative will be further expanded to the PVFCCo’s member companies nationwide, and will become a regular activity of the corporation.
PVFCCo is recognized as one of the leading companies in fertilizers and chemicals manufacturing and trading in Vietnam, and also very notable for its social activities and contributions. Most recently, the PVFCCo’s Urea Phu My has been honored in the Top 10 Vietnam Gold Star and PVFCCo was selected in Top 10 of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Enterprises 2011.
