In the morning of November 15, the opening Ceremony of Vietnam International Agriculture Fair 2012 with the theme “Agricultural development cooperation, exports boost, new rural construction” jointly held by Ministry of Industry and Trade, Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development and Can Tho City People”s Committee was taken place at Can Tho International Exhibition Fair Center. PVFCCo participated in the fair with 06 self-built booths with beautiful designs and rich activities, attracting many visitors.

Attending the opening ceremony were Mr. Tran Tuan Anh, Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade; Mr. Ha Cong Tuan, Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development; Mr. Tran Van Man – Can Tho City’s Secretary; Tran Thanh Son, Can Tho City’s Chairman and the leaders in TNB Steering Committee…

The fair this year taken place from November 15-21, 2012 attracted nearly 250 booths of 150 domestic and foreign organizations, companies. University institutes, provincial Departments of Trade and Industry, Departments of Agriculture and Rural Development, Departments of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs, trade promotion centers, farmers” associations of some localities exhibited their products: machinery, equipment, production lines, industrial and agricultural processing and post-harvest storage; agricultural materials; rural and agricultural development programs and projects, scientific and technical achievements, large sample fields in the Mekong Delta; seeds; special rice; biotechnology application products; agricultural, forestry and aquatic products, processed foods; fine arts, interior equipments; general consumer products…
Also, as activities on the anniversary of Ministry of Agriculture, processor of the nowadays Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development ( November 14, 1945 –November 14, 2012), on the occasion of opening Ceremony broadcast live on Can Tho Radio and Televison station and Televison stations in the Southern region, Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development announced and offered Memorial Medals “For the cause of rural development” given by the Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development to 12 individuals around the country with their service length at least 20 years in the agricultural sector and with outstanding achievements, contributing to the cause of rural development. Mr Nguyen Hong Vinh, PVFCCo”s Deputy President & CEO was honored to receive this Memorial Medal.
