Ho Chi Minh City, 16 December 2014 –PetroVietnam Fertilizer and Chemicals Corporation (PVFCCo – stock code: DPM), producer and trader of Phu My fertilizer products, announced that the program to award 479 Phu My Fertilizer Scholarships in 2014-2015 academic year to students with excellent performance at universities and colleges across the country has been officially kicked off.

Accordingly, from 15 to 25 December 2014, Phu My Fertilizer scholarships for academic year 2014 – 2015 will be awarded to students at universities and colleges across the country. Specifically, PVFCCo awarded 40 Phu My Fertilizer scholarships in the Southwestern region on 15 December 2014. Then, the scholarship program will be held in the Central – Western Highlands region on 17 December 2014 (in Dak Lak); Northern region on 20 December 2014 (in Hanoi) and Southeast region on 25 December 2014 (in Ba Ria-Vung Tau).

Awardees of 2014-2015 Phu My Fertilizer Scholarship program are students from universities, colleges and specialized schools who have overcome difficulties in living conditions and achieved excellent performance in study. The 2014-2015 Phu My Fertilizer scholarships is worth VND 2.6 billion in total, including 13 Honor scholarships (VND 20 million apiece) and 466 Consolation scholarships (VND 5 million apiece).

Especially, 2014-2015 Phu My Fertilizer Scholarship program’s new feature in response to the “national solidarity for the sake of our seas and islands” is the priority for children with good study results of officers, soldiers in the Navy, Coast Guard and Fisheries Resources Surveillance forces directly stationed on the islands, rigs and being on duty at sea.70 students in this priority category have been awarded Phu My Fertilizer scholarships this year.

Phu My Fertilizer Scholarship Program (formerly known as DPM Scholarships, PVFCCo Scholarships) is an annual activity of PVFCCo since 2008 to realize its commitments on social responsibility toward the community, especially the youth generation – future of the country. To date, the program has awarded 2,010 scholarships worth nearly VND 12 billion in total and is one of the scholarship programs with highest reputation and biggest value across the country.
