PVFCCo - Phu My Officially Launches "Data Lakehouse"

(PetroTimes) - On November 11th, PetroVietnam Fertilizer and Chemicals Corporation (PVFCCo - Phu My) officially operationalized its Centralized Data Management and Exploitation Solution (Data Lakehouse). This event marks a pivotal stride in the Corporation's comprehensive digital transformation strategy, fast-tracking its objective of achieving a Digital Business Index (DBI) maturity level of 3.0 by the end of 2025.

The operational launch ceremony took place at the Corporation's headquarters, graced by the attendance of Mr. Nguyen Xuan Hoa - Chairman of the Board of Directors; Mr. Phan Cong Thanh - General Director; Mr. Ta Quang Huy - Deputy General Director; along with members of the Board of Directors, representatives from various divisions/offices, member units, and solution deployment partners.

PVFCCo - Phu My officially operationalizes the Centralized Data Management and Exploitation Solution (Data Lakehouse), marking a pivotal stride in the Corporation's comprehensive digital transformation strategy.

PVFCCo - Phu My developed the Data Lakehouse system as a highly scalable, transparent, and centralized platform for data storage and analysis. Following a six-month deployment sprint, the system is now poised to deliver multi-level analytical and administrative dashboards, effectively supporting executive operations and decision-making. Utilizing the optimized foundation architecture on Microsoft Fabric, directly integrated with the two core systems, EBS and HPM, the team successfully architected over 50 dashboards (significantly exceeding the initial target), which display critical insights into production, business, finance, and operations.

The solution deployment partners attended the operational launch ceremony.

The successful completion of two UAT (User Acceptance Testing) rounds, with the second phase executed directly on the production environment, allowed the system to go live ahead of schedule. This outcome underscores the decisive commitment and high-level resolution from the project team and relevant units. During the ceremony, the Phu My Connect application - a centralized application platform - was also introduced. It provides fast and intuitive access to the management reports generated by the Data Lakehouse system.

If data is the lifeblood of the enterprise, the Data Lakehouse system represents the new circulatory system—a hub where all information is aggregated, stored, standardized, updated in real-time, and disseminated to the right stakeholders at the right moment. Consequently, operational and administrative decisions will be data-driven, grounded in clear, transparent, and consistent metrics, thereby establishing a major leap forward in building a data culture at PVFCCo - Phu My.

The representative of the Digital Transformation and Information Technology Department vowed to develop concrete implementation roadmaps, ensuring all requirements and goals for data-driven governance are met.

The Data Lakehouse project stands as one of the six core pillars in PVFCCo - Phu My's strategy to elevate its digital maturity level. Immediately following the system's operational launch, subsequent tasks will be expeditiously deployed, including: user training, refining dashboards based on real-world feedback; maintaining the Data Maturity Model Level 4; and expanding integration with operational, HR, and project systems. Specifically, Level 4 is a crucial stage in the five-level journey of building a data maturity model based on international standards.

This is the level where the enterprise possesses a unified, organization-wide data system, directly connected to source systems, owns a common set of executive dashboards, and, most importantly, maintains clear data governance processes—from input to output—ensuring every decision is based on a single source of truth. Notably, the team is also exploring a roadmap for integrating Microsoft's AI Copilot, which will empower users to query, analyze, and make decisions faster and smarter.
