Phu My Promotes Agricultural Cooperation in Laos
From February 21 to 23, 2025, a working delegation from PetroVietnam Fertilizer and Chemicals Corporation (PVFCCo – Phu My), led by Mr. Vo Ngoc Phuong, Deputy General Director of the Corporation, visited and worked with agricultural partners in the Lao People's Democratic Republic to strengthen cooperation between the parties. The delegation also included representatives from Thien Long Trading Co., Ltd., a major distributor of Phu My in the Central Highlands region, a key agricultural economic area and an important market adjacent to Laos.

The delegation met with Lao partners, including Thaco Agriculture Joint Stock Company (Thaco Agri) and TTC Attapeu Sugarcane Co., Ltd.
Thaco Agri is a major agricultural enterprise in Vietnam and has expanded its operations abroad. In Laos, the company is headquartered in Saysettha District, Attapeu Province (Southern Laos), with a plantation area of up to 30,000 hectares, primarily cultivating bananas.
TTC Attapeu Sugarcane Co., Ltd. is part of the Thanh Thanh Cong (TTC) Group and is based in Na Suoc Village, Phu Vong District, Attapeu Province. The company manages 10,000 hectares of sugarcane fields supplying raw materials to the TTC Attapeu sugar factory, which has a processing capacity of 7,000 tons of sugarcane per day.
During the working sessions, the Phu My delegation presented the company's fertilizer production and business capabilities, expressing a strong desire to enhance cooperation with its partners. The information provided by Phu My was well received, with Lao enterprises highly appreciating the quality, reputation, and packaging of Phu My Fertilizer products.

The delegation also visited and studied the production technologies and products at the agricultural plantations of their partners. Phu My recognized the advanced infrastructure and production capabilities of the Lao companies. Thaco Agri and TTC Attapeu highlighted the distinct agricultural practices of Lao farmers, which differ significantly from those in Vietnam. Given these differences, market entry in Laos requires an appropriate and patient approach.
All parties expressed confidence that their cooperation would soon develop and yield positive results, bringing benefits to all involved and contributing to the prosperity of local communities.

The discussions reaffirmed that Phu My Fertilizer products are well-suited for the soil conditions and crop varieties in Laos, paving the way for stronger business collaboration and sustainable agricultural development in the region.
