At the beginning of the session, the corporation’s leadership proceeded to the site to directly inspect, visit, and encourage the workforce. Across all maintenance areas—especially key zones with high workloads and critical path items such as the Ammonia Unit, Urea Unit, and Mechanical Maintenance Workshop — the working atmosphere was highly serious, urgent, scientific, and safety-compliant. According to reports from the Maintenance Steering Committee and Plant Leadership during the subsequent meeting, the Turnaround officially commenced on December 22, 2025, with an expected shutdown duration of 38 days. As of now, after one week of implementation, maintenance items are proceeding according to plan. Many tasks have met or exceeded the schedule while strictly ensuring safety, quality, and technological control requirements.

Shutdown procedures and technological handling were executed correctly and safely; the shutdown progress at the main workshops achieved high efficiency, creating favorable conditions for subsequent repair and maintenance tasks. Representatives from various Departments and Maintenance Teams supplemented and clarified the report details. They also proposed recommendations regarding working policies and bonuses to better suit the actual conditions of this maintenance period, along with detailed information on critical equipment clusters requiring attention for future operation and the next maintenance cycle.

Encouraging and rewarding notable staff and engineers

On behalf of the Corporation’s leadership, Mr. Nguyen Xuan Hoa acknowledged and commended the sense of responsibility, proactivity, and efforts of the collective staff, engineers, and workers of Phu My and participating units. He emphasized that this Turnaround is of critical importance, holding significant meaning not only for the Corporation and the Plant but also receiving deep attention from authorities, the parent company Petrovietnam, partners, and customers. This serves as both an honor and a responsibility for PVFCCo-Phu My.

Therefore, criteria regarding Safety – Quality – On time – Efficiency must always be ensured as planned. Additionally, care for living conditions, working environments, and food safety for the maintenance force must be strengthened. With the policy of creating maximum favorable conditions to encourage personnel to focus on their work, ensuring the set schedule and quality, the Chairman also requested Functional Departments to urgently advise and complete procedures for the Executive Board and Board of Directors to approve the Plant's recommendations as soon as possible.
