Phu My Fertilizer Plant holds the 2024 year-end conference

On December 19, 2024, Phu My Fertilizer Plant held the 2024 Party and Business Summary Conference, the 2025 Plan Implementation Conference, and the Employee Conference. Attending the conference, on behalf of the leadership of Petrovietnam Fertilizer and Chemicals Corporation (PVFCCo), were Mr. Nguyễn Xuân Hòa – Secretary of the Party Committee, Chairman of the Board of Directors; Mr. Phan Công Thành – Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, General Director; Mr. Tống Xuân Phong – Member of the Standing Committee, Chairman of the Trade Union; along with members of the Board of Directors, Executive Management Board, representatives from unions, specialized departments of PVFCCo, and the Board of Directors of Phu My Fertilizer Plant. The conference was also attended by 212 delegates elected from various departments.

At the conference, Mr. Lê Trọng Đĩnh Chi – Secretary of the Party Committee and Director of the Plant, presented the 2024 Party and Business Summary Report and the 2025 Implementation Plan. In 2024, the plant faced significant challenges, including rising gas prices and aging equipment after more than 20 years of operation, greatly affecting production activities. However, proactive and comprehensive production measures were implemented with the close guidance of PVFCCo and the dedicated efforts of the plant’s leadership and employees. As a result, most production targets were achieved as planned. Other key areas, such as Safety – Health – Environment, maintenance and repair, and digital transformation, were also strengthened with positive outcomes.

Regarding the 2025 work plan and implementation strategies, the plant recognized that external challenges would intensify. Thus, the plant aims to achieve the following objectives: Safety – Efficiency – Quality – Cost-saving. It will focus on ensuring safe and stable operations, maintaining product quality according to registered standards, and achieving production targets. Additionally, efforts will be made to improve and enhance product quality, especially for NPK fertilizers, successfully carry out the 2025 overall maintenance plan, and ensure efficiency, safety, and timely completion.

Following this, Mr. Dương Duy Thương – Chairman of the Plant’s Trade Union, presented various reports, including the results of implementing the resolutions from the "2024 Employee Representative Conference," a review of addressing employee suggestions from 2024, the outcomes of the 2025 Employee Conference at different units, the execution of the Collective Labor Agreement, participation in drafting regulations and policies at PVFCCo and the plant, social welfare activities, and the utilization of the welfare fund. He also summarized employee proposals collected from departmental meetings.

The conference also featured discussions on topics such as "Party Committee Leadership in Implementing the 2025 Maintenance Plan," "Technology Safety Management and Digital Transformation at Phu My Fertilizer Plant," and "Cost-saving Methods in NPK Production and Future Directions for the New Product Workshop."

In his directive speech, Mr. Nguyễn Xuân Hòa acknowledged that 2024 was a challenging year, yet the plant effectively coordinated with PVFCCo’s units to achieve significant improvements. He recognized and congratulated the plant’s employees for their achievements and expressed agreement with the proposals, solutions, and discussions presented.

Looking ahead to 2025, he noted that challenges would escalate due to limited gas supply and high costs, as well as the planned plant shutdown for comprehensive maintenance. He urged the plant to strengthen leadership and management, implement stable and efficient operational and maintenance strategies, optimize production—especially for the Phu My NPK product line—and expand chemical production. To accomplish these objectives, he emphasized the need for unity, creativity, and appropriate solutions among the Party Committee, management, and employees. He also assured that PVFCCo would carefully consider the plant’s proposals, solutions, and innovations to maintain its leadership position within the system.

On behalf of the plant’s employees, Mr. Lê Trọng Đĩnh Chi expressed gratitude to PVFCCo for its support and favorable conditions, enabling the plant to meet its 2024 targets. He affirmed that Phu My Fertilizer Plant’s workforce would continue to enhance technical innovations to ensure safe and efficient plant operations.
