The Phu My Fertilizer Plant successfully completed its comprehensive maintenance, more than 4 days ahead of schedule, and has resumed operations at over capacity.

The PetroVietnam Fertilizer and Chemicals Corporation (PVFCCo – Phu My, stock code: DPM) announced that the Phu My Urea Plant has completed its major maintenance (BDTT) and resumed operations on January 24, 2026, four days ahead of schedule.

This BDTT was considered the largest and most complex maintenance ever carried out at the Phu My Urea Plant, involving over 5,500 work items and mobilizing more than 1,700 engineers, experts, and workers from Phu My, units within the Vietnam National Energy and Industry Group (Petrovietnam), and domestic and foreign contractors. In addition to routine maintenance, the plant simultaneously installed, connected, and integrated nearly 20 critical technical items, many of which were being implemented for the first time after more than 20 years of operation, aiming to improve equipment reliability, optimize performance, and prepare for future development projects.

Notably, this maintenance period generated nearly 500 additional tasks. However, thanks to experience, proactive organization and management, and mastery of technology, all unforeseen items were anticipated, risks assessed, and issues addressed promptly, without affecting the overall schedule or safety. Throughout the maintenance process, safety, health, and environmental control were strictly monitored; the plant recorded no workplace accidents or safety incidents. The technical quality of the items was highly rated, fully meeting the criteria of "Safety - Quality - Progress - Efficiency," and especially shortening the maintenance shutdown time by more than 4 days compared to the plan, resuming operations at over capacity, and bringing products to market sooner.

The success of the maintenance shutdown is the result of thorough preparation from the planning stage, coordination of materials and personnel, close cooperation between units, and the promotion of digitalization in management, progress monitoring, and technical documentation control. Simultaneously, thanks to a reasonable supply chain management plan, Phu My's production and business activities remained stable during the Phu My Fertilizer Plant's shutdown for maintenance.

This maintenance and repair period further affirms the PVFCCo – Phu My team's mastery of technology and equipment, as well as their high sense of responsibility. It marks a crucial transition in the operational lifecycle of the Phu My Fertilizer Plant, moving from maintaining stability to improving quality, efficiency, and long-term operational durability. The successful maintenance and commissioning of the plant ahead of schedule is of particular importance, promptly increasing supply for the Spring crop – a key agricultural production season of the year – and creating a solid foundation for PVFCCo-Phu My's 2026 plan.

With the outstanding completion of this maintenance and repair period, bringing the plant back into operation ahead of schedule and exceeding capacity, PVFCCo – Phu My has achieved a tangible accomplishment to celebrate the successful 14th National Congress of the Communist Party of Vietnam, contributing to the nation's entry into a new era.
