The PVFCCo Veterans Association held a conference to review 2024 activities and implement the 2025 plan.
On December 19, 2024, at the Phu My Fertilizer Plant, the Veterans Association of PetroVietnam Fertilizer and Chemicals Corporation (PVFCCo Veterans Association) held a conference to review its activities in 2024 and implement its plan for 2025.
Attending and directing the conference on behalf of the corporation's leadership were Comrade Tống Xuân Phong – Member of the Standing Committee, Chairman of PVFCCo Trade Union; Comrade Hồ Quyết Thắng – Member of the Board of Directors; Comrade Tạ Quang Huy – Deputy General Director; and Comrade Đặng Quốc Hùng – Chief of the Party and Mass Organization Office, Vice Chairman of the Trade Union.
At the conference, on behalf of the presidium, Comrade Trịnh Văn Khiêm – Member of the Executive Committee of the Group's Veterans Association and Chairman of the PVFCCo Veterans Association, delivered a speech marking the 80th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam People's Army, the 35th anniversary of the National Defense Day, the 35th anniversary of the Vietnam Veterans Association, and the 15th anniversary of the Veterans Association of the Vietnam National Oil and Gas Group.

Following this, Comrade Lương Phương – Vice Chairman of the PVFCCo Veterans Association, presented a report on the association’s activities in 2024 and outlined the 2025 plan. Despite the economic challenges and slow growth in 2024, the PVFCCo Veterans Association successfully achieved its goals, thanks to the strong leadership and support from the Group’s Veterans Association, close guidance from the Party Committee, Board of Directors, and Executive Management, as well as effective coordination with other unions, including the Trade Union and Youth Union.

Specifically, 102 members from different regions and departments across the corporation worked together and achieved remarkable results. The association actively participated in political and ideological education for its members, fully engaged in the resolutions of the Central Veterans Association and PVFCCo, and encouraged members to uphold exemplary conduct in studying and following Ho Chi Minh’s ideology. Members also registered work plans linked to their assigned responsibilities. Notably, they upheld the "Uncle Ho's Soldiers" tradition by enthusiastically engaging in work, contributing innovative ideas, and improving productivity and efficiency in business operations. In 2024, the association registered over 20 technical innovation proposals, which are expected to be recognized for enhancing production and operations.
Additionally, the conference provided a platform for members to present discussions and share insights to refine and effectively implement the 2025 plan.
In his keynote speech, Comrade Tống Xuân Phong congratulated the PVFCCo Veterans Association on its achievements, recognizing its effective efforts in political education, honoring traditions, and maintaining the spirit of “remembering the source.” He also praised the association's strong commitment to fostering a culture of innovation and exemplary leadership among its members, as well as its contributions to social welfare initiatives.

Given the ongoing challenges in PVFCCo’s business operations, Comrade Tống Xuân Phong outlined key expectations for the association in 2025:
- Continue prioritizing education and awareness campaigns linked to competitive movements.
- Translate the 10 key tasks into concrete programs and solutions.
- Encourage innovative initiatives and establish platforms to facilitate and support the development of practical solutions.
In his closing remarks, Comrade Trịnh Văn Khiêm expressed gratitude to PVFCCo’s leadership for their dedicated support. He affirmed the association’s commitment to seriously implementing the directives given and ensuring that all members work diligently to fulfill their assigned missions and goals.
During the event, four groups and 30 individual members were recognized for their outstanding contributions to the “Exemplary Veterans” movement for the 2019–2024 period.
