PVFCCo – Phú Mỹ Partners with the Đắk Lắk Durian Festival 2026: Starting from the Pollination Stage

2026 marks a significant milestone for the durian industry as Đắk Lắk Province hosts its first large-scale Durian Festival, scheduled to run from mid-August to early September across key growing regions. The festival aims not only to promote the Đắk Lắk durian brand and honor local farmers, but also to drive trade connectivity, boost export promotion, standardize production processes to international standards, and progressively develop durian-based tourism products. Against this backdrop, PetroVietnam Fertilizer and Chemicals Corporation – Joint Stock Company (PVFCCo – Phú Mỹ) has committed to partnering with the program and local authorities to help elevate farming efficiency and product quality.

Kicking off the pre-festival activity series, on April 13, 2026, Phú Mỹ participated in an experiential program on durian flower pollination at the Krông Pắc Clean Agricultural Cooperative — a focal activity designed to develop agri-tourism experiences grounded in real-world production practices. As a supporting partner, Phú Mỹ joined government agencies, industry associations, media, and businesses on an in-orchard experiential journey. Notably, Phú Mỹ chose to engage right from the pollination stage — the critical step that determines fruit-set rate, shape, and quality, especially as products must increasingly meet the high standards demanded by export markets.

As part of the program, Phú Mỹ donated one tonne of Phú Mỹ Organic Fertilizer and 1.5 tonnes of Phú Mỹ NPK Fertilizer to the Cooperative for use in establishing a Phú Mỹ Model Garden — applied continuously from pollination and fruit development through to harvest. The balanced combination of organic and NPK fertilizers not only supports stable plant growth and enhanced fruit quality, but also contributes to improving soil fertility and advancing sustainable cultivation — an increasingly prominent requirement in modern agricultural production. This model garden will also be incorporated into the festival's tour itinerary, serving as a point of connection between production realities and promotional activities.

According to the plan, the Đắk Lắk Durian Festival 2026 will feature a wide range of large-scale activities, including an opening ceremony, a trade fair with hundreds of exhibition booths, industry-specific business matching conferences, parades, arts performances, and in-orchard experience tours. Phú Mỹ plans to continue its partnership across key components — most notably through the selection, development, and labelling of durian orchards using the Phú Mỹ solution suite to be featured in the experiential journey. This approach directly links the brand to tangible farming outcomes, creating concrete evidence for growers and market partners alike.

From the April 13 pollination activity — the opening step of the pre-festival program — it is clear that Phú Mỹ is not merely participating at the event level. The company is steadily affirming its role as a substantive, long-term partner to Đắk Lắk growers: present from the foundational technical stage, delivering concrete solutions, and committed throughout the entire production cycle. This also lays the groundwork for Phú Mỹ to continue amplifying its brand values — anchored in productivity, quality, and sustainable development — across the local durian value chain.
