PVFCCo – Phú Mỹ and Đắk Lắk Province Sign Memorandum of Understanding to Advance Investment in High-Tech Agricultural Innovation Center

On June 27, 2026, in Đắk Lắk Province, PetroVietnam Fertilizer and Chemicals Corporation (PVFCCo – Phú Mỹ) and the Đắk Lắk Provincial People's Committee signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to research and survey investment opportunities for a High-Tech Agricultural Innovation Center Project in the province.

Under the MOU, the two parties agreed to establish a coordination and support mechanism for the research, surveying, site selection, and preparatory investment steps of the PVFCCo High-Tech Agricultural Innovation Center Project in Đắk Lắk. The project has a total planned investment of approximately VND 700 billion and will be studied and implemented following an appropriate roadmap to establish a center for the research, application, demonstration, and transfer of modern agricultural solutions in the Central Highlands region.

The project is envisioned as a convergence point for a research – data – experimentation – connection – transfer ecosystem in high-tech agriculture. Its core focus is to build a data platform on soil, weather, and crops; apply digital technology, artificial intelligence, and advanced analytical models; and, on that foundation, develop solutions for crop nutrition, precision farming, and green, sustainable agriculture that directly serve farmers, cooperatives, agricultural enterprises, and local authorities.

This MOU provides an important foundation for both parties to continue jointly studying investment plans and completing the procedures required by law, ensuring the project is prepared methodically and practically, in line with the province's development orientation.

Đắk Lắk plays a central role in the Central Highlands region, with notable strengths in key crops such as coffee, pepper, durian, and rubber, along with a range of other high-value industrial and fruit crops. It is also one of Phú Mỹ's long-standing key markets. Beyond its production and business activities, Phú Mỹ has also actively carried out social responsibility initiatives in Đắk Lắk, contributing more than VND 21.45 billion to date, focused on education, the construction of gratitude houses and Great Solidarity houses, support for people facing hardship, and contributions to local community development.

As one of Vietnam's leading enterprises in fertilizers and agricultural chemicals, Phú Mỹ expects the PVFCCo High-Tech Agricultural Innovation Center in Đắk Lắk to become a new, highly practical model that effectively connects businesses, scientists, government agencies, and farmers.

The signing of this MOU further affirms Phú Mỹ's long-term commitment to accompanying Vietnamese agriculture — from supplying high-quality fertilizer products to creating crop nutrition solutions, agricultural data, and advanced farming models. This is also a step consistent with Phú Mỹ's development orientation: pioneering the development of a comprehensive agricultural ecosystem and making a tangible contribution to the prosperity of Vietnam's agricultural sector.
