On 15 August 2016, Mr. Duong Tri Hoi - Vice President of PetroVietnam Fertilizer and Chemicals Corporation (PVFCCo) said that, despite the reduced demand on fertilizers last year as a result of drought along with the falling trend in fertilizer prices, as of July 2016, Phu My Fertilizer Plant of PVFCCo produced roughly 500 thousand tons of urea for the market, accomplishing 62% of the annual plan.
