Decision No. 1123/QĐ-TTg dated July 8, 2014, signed by the Prime Minister, takes effect from the signing date.

On July 10, 1014, in PVN’s 17thParty Sub-Committee session, 2010-2015 term (extended), Mr. Nguyen Xuan Son was elected by the Party Committee as the Secretary of PVN’s Party Sub-Committee.
At the ceremony, Mr. Bui Duc Loi, Deputy Secretary of the Communist Party Committee of the Central Enterprise sector, handed over Decision No. 2820/QĐ-ĐUKissued by his office regarding the approvaland supplementation of Mr. Nguyen Xuan Son, a member of the Party Committeecum Chairman of PVN’s Member Council, to the Standing Party Sub-Committee under the position of Secretary of PVN’s Party Sub-Committee, 2010 – 2015term.
Mr. Pham Xuan Duong, a member of the Party Committeecum Standing Deputy Chairman of the Party Central Committee Commission for Economic Affairs, offered flowers to Mr. Nguyen Xuan Son and Mr. Phung Dinh Thuc.
In his inaugural speech, Mr. Nguyen Xuan Son, with over-30-year seniority in the glorious Oil and Gas industry, expressed his deep gratefulness to the Communist Party and the State’s trust resulting in his appointment to the Chairman position of PVN’s Member Council; he also thanked the senior generations, who trained and led him, ex-leaders in the Oil and Gas industry, his predecessor, Mr. Phung Dinh Thuc, PVN’s President and CEO Nguyen Van Hau and all employees working in the Oil and Gas industry who had helped him fulfill his past duties under various positions.
As the top leader of PVN, Mr. Nguyen Xuan Son pledged to the Communist Party, the State, the people and officials of the Oil and Gas industry that he, in conjunction with PVN’s staff, would dedicate all their capabilites, intellect, heart and mind to further accelerate the strength and sustainability of Vietnam’s Oil and Gas industry.
