PetroVietnam Fertilizer and Chemicals Corporation (PVFCCo) is honored to be one of the top 15 enterprises selected and signed by the Plant Protection Department (Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development) to cooperate in implementing safe, balanced, and effective use of fertilizers and pesticides in the sustainable agricultural production program. The Signing Ceremony was held on October 21, 2021, in Hanoi and online across the country.
According to the signed content, the Plant Protection Department and PVFCCo will cooperate, organize dissemination, training, and guidance for farmers on the safe, balanced - effective use of fertilizers in agricultural production; transferring and disseminating new scientific and technical advances; knowledge to recognize and distinguish fake fertilizers, poor quality, counterfeit goods, ... in the market; Training and guidance for agents and fertilizer trading establishments the current government regulations in the field of fertilizers; safe, balanced - adequate fertilizer storage. Perform different techniques so that they can be applied, and guide farmers when buying fertilizers for use. Implement demonstration models of safe, balanced, and effective use of fertilizers on key crops to promote production and transfer farming techniques to farmers for better results.
The program will also emphasize a sustainable value chain in agricultural production towards safe and sustainable agriculture. Contributing to rising incomes and improving the lives of farmers, widely communicating the activities and results achieved to create a positive spillover effect for farmers to respond widely and apply in different farming areas to bring sustainable value. The implementation will start from October 2021 to prepare for the winter-spring/dry season 2021.
The Covid-19 pandemic has caused a significant impact on the socio-economy in Vietnam. The market of agricultural materials has abnormal fluctuations in prices, significantly affecting the agricultural cultivation of farmers. This cooperation program is a timely, practical way to support farmers in using fertilizers safely, economically, and effectively and responding well to climate change. At the same time, with the scope of comprehensive and extensive cooperation across the country and the "handling" of ministerial-level management agencies, and a long-term vision, the program will actively contribute to orienting farmers to do business.
