PetroVietnam Fertilizer and Chemicals Corporation (PVFCCo), previously known as PetroVietnam Fertilizer and Chemicals Company, has just celebrated its 14th anniversary (March/28/2003-2017)
PVFCCo informed that it’s resolved to implement the key Complex project - revamping of NH3 unit and construction of Phu My NPK plant.
Started from the end of 2015, the Complex Project has been executed on schedule and now the most crucial equipment is being installed at the construction site.
In March 2017, the Project Management Board received the first three important equipment assemblies from the licensor Haldor Topsoe AS (Denmark), including the Ammonia Converter 10-R-5002, Loop Waste Heat Boiler 10-E-5000 and Heat Exchanger Reformer 10-HE-2001. Such super-heavy, super-long assemblies play essential roles in the Ammonia Unit .
Upon receipt of the equipment, contractors urgently proceeded to install it at site and at 16:00 March 26, 2017 these three assemblies were successfully installed, marking a remarkable milestone in the execution of the Complex Project as well as celebrating PVFCCo’s 14th anniversary.
Reportedly, this Complex Project, which increases capacity of NH3 by 90,000 tons/year and produces 250,000 tons/year of high-quality Phu My NPK using chemical technology, is expected to be commissioned at the beginning of the third quarter of 2017 and to launch commercial products at the end of 2017.
