Apart from the “Phu My Urea - Millions of Love” program in gratitude to customers on the occasion of Phu My Fertilizer Plant reaching 10 millionth ton output, and in addition to actively implement production and investment in order to fulfill the 2017 business plan, PVFCCo has constantly launched many meaningful activities of social works in this September.
In early September, in order for pupils to begin their new school year, PVFCCo and local authorities jointly inaugurated and handed over several new school construction works in provinces of Nam Dinh, Ha Tinh and Binh Dinh. In particular, the 2-storey school and multi-functional building with floor area of nearly 1,300 m2 located at the Junior High School of Hop Hung Commune, Vu Ban District, Nam Dinh, which is sponsored by PVFCCo with total amount of VND 3.5 billion, were inaugurated on 04 Sept, 2017. The 2nd construction work of the two-storey building consisting of 10 classrooms at Primary School of Thach Chau Commune, Loc Ha District, Ha Tinh Province and financially supported by PVFCCo at VND 3 billion was inaugurated on 05/09/2017. The 3rd construction work was the Primary School No. 2 at Phuoc Hung, Tuy Phuoc, Binh Dinh, financed by PVFCCo at VND 3 billion, including 02 storeys, 8 classrooms, with construction area of 685 m2, and fully furnished with teaching and studying equipment. These construction works are truly meaningful gifts to teachers and pupils at these locations on the threshold of the new school year.
In addition to active contribution to education, improvement of training quality at various locations, on 11th - 12th days of September, 2017, PVFCCo and its member company, PVFCCo North, via the Red Cross Association, jointly organized visits to provide relief and gifts worth VND 710 million in total to flood victims having suffered havoc and damage caused by the recent historic flood at Mu Cang Chai District, Yen Bai Province and Muong La District, Son La Province. Accordingly, PVFCCo provided support to 18 families suffering human casualty with VND 10 million per family, donated notebooks worth VND 180 million to 4 schools with 7,000 pcs each; and provided cash support of VND 350 million to 70 families having their homes collapsed with VND 5 million each. These activities reflected the humanity spirit of PVFCCo personnel, who are always ready to help, encourage and support aggrieved compatriots to overcome difficulties and loss caused by natural disasters to promptly restore their normal life and production activities.
Reportedly, since its establishment, PVFCCo has continuously launched a wide range of social work programs and activities nationwide with total value of over VND800 billion. Tens of thousands of Great Solidarity Houses, charity houses, scholarships, Subsidy for the poor; hundreds of schools, medical station construction works, etc financed by PVFCCo over time have clearly reflected the realization of the motto “responsibility - sharing” always aimed at by PVFCCo.
